May 15th, 2003 6:30pm (PST)
Scooterpatrol is founded by Anthony Panzica (now founder and president) while conversing about DUI's with a close friend in Sunset Beach, CA. The talk had progressed to how to get someone's car home with them after they've been drinking when Scooterpatrol was born.
May 17th, 2003 10:30pm (PST)
Anthony Panzica gives first free ride home to a couple who'd been drinking at King Neptune's Restaurant in Sunset Beach, CA. Distance: 2 miles. Type of vehicle: SUV. Tip: $11.00.
June 9th, 2003 2pm (PST)
Jim Radcliffe of the Orange County Register talks with Anthony about a possible story.
June 16th, 2003
"Scooter Patrol takes wheel so the drunk don't roll dice" published in the Orange County Register Newspaper and was the catalyst that started what has now become a Southern California phenomenon.
June 17th, 2003 9:30am (PST)
Jim Radcliffe of the Orange County Register contacts Anthony with an important message to call Eric Sechrist of Scott's Motorsports, a Goped Scooter sales and repair shop in Anaheim, California. Once contacted, Eric explains that he is friends with Tim Patmont of Goped / Patmont Motorwerks in Northern California and that the legendary company is interested in speaking with Anthony about sponsorship. Anthony calls Goped and a sponsorship agreement is made.
June 18th, 2003 10pm (PST)
KABC Channel 7 News airs feature story about Scooterpatrol with David Jackson on the Southern California 10 O'clock news. Over 13 million viewed this unprecedented broadcast which announced to Los Angeles and the world, the first free scooter service in history.
August, 2003 9am 6pm (PST)
Scooterpatrol provides free rides home at first community based event. This was the first of many community functions that the organization contributed its time, resources and volunteers to in order to make them safer.
November 27, 2003 Thanksgiving Day
The Sun Newspaper in Seal Beach, CA publishes the first of many articles about the service in the holiday section of their paper.
December 17th, 2003 5pm (PST)
Scooterpatrol Inc. receives Articles of Incorporation from California Secretary of State.
May 15th, 2004 4pm (PST)
Scooterpatrol celebrates 1 year anniversary in Sunset Beach, CA.
December 7th, 2004 4pm (PST)
Application for tax exempt status is submitted to the IRS.
January, 2005
Dave Wilson's Toyota Of Huntington Beach donates a car to the organization.
March, 2005
Sunset Magazine publishes article called "Rescue Driver" in the Best Of The West section of their publication.
May 5th, 2005
Scooterpatrol provides free rides home to patrons celebrating Cinco De Mayo holiday at Baja Cantina Restaurant in Marina Del Rey marking the service's expansion in to West Los Angeles.

Howard Forman of Doctors For Designated Driving (http://www.dfdd.org/) selects Scooterpatrol for their Platinum Key Of Life Award, noting, "It would be a fair assessment that there is no group of volunteers doing more to fight drunk driving on a daily basis than Scooterpatrol."

IRS approves 501(c)(3) non-profit status application for ScooterPatrol Inc.
June 14th, 2005
Scooterpatrol provides free rides home to guests who attended the annual LA Weekly Music Awards event at the historic Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA.
